Lou Shabner specialised in fantasy glamour paintings of beautiful women and bright warm colours. Often called pin ups for soldiers to admire they became hugely popular in the 1940s when they produced an American Calendar of some of his work. This piece is called Melanie and is a 1970s reproduction in its original frame. In fantastic condition for its age with a few nicks and scrapes this is a truely eye catching piece. Measures 45cm wide x 68cm tall.
